Until the Supreme Court rules...

Until the Supreme Court rules we are covered, but I imagine that there is a case or two working their way through the court system as we speak.

I said we should have done this 40 years ago, but of course,

nobody was listening. It was time then to come out of the closet and stand up for our rights as individual American citizens, entitled to all the rights and privileges of our inherited rights under our constitution and the federal law. This decision now is a long time in coming but the EEOC has finally seen us for who we are ... human beings. There is an author here that signs her comments "I know who I am, I am me and I like me".

To have the courage to be who we are, we must first like who we are, and then be secure in the knowledge that no one can tell us who we should be. Mia Macy was told the position she highly qualified for was cut due to financial crunches, only to find out somebody else was hired instead. Did she run for the closet and cry? NO! She stood up for what she believed in and took the matter further making an official complaint. All an attorney as to do now, is take it to the U.S. Supreme Court for a ruling making the EEOC's decision the law of the land. Right on Mia Macy. YOU GO GIRL!

"With confidence and forbearance, we will have the strength to move forward."

Love & hugs,
Barbara
