For those who have read my latest story, and wanted a little background, here you go:

General concept: A long time ago, powerful beings were on Earth, and they were worshiped as gods. When Christianity became the dominant religion, most left Earth, but some stayed. About two years ago, a man called Commander Ares made his debut, and since then about two dozen more people with extraordinary gifts have made an appearance. It seems that most of these are the agents of one god or another, and that there isnt going to end up being more than a handful of these super-beings.

Characters:

E-Girl - A bright, easy-going girl (who used to be a boy) about 17 years old. She can control the 4 classical elements - Earth, Air, Water, and Fire.

Commander Ares - Think a mash-up of Superman and Captain America. Super strong, fast, invulnerable, and great at tactics and leadership. If he were to give you a pep-talk that including telling you to walk off a cliff, you'd find yourself saluting and taking the leap without much question.

The Doctor - This Earth's sorcerer supreme.

Fluke - Fun-loving mistress of all things absurd, her "luck" power means things are always a little crazy when she's around.

Hank Hollis - The star of my latest story. He hasn't picked a code-name yet, probably trying to see if any cool names haven't been taken.

The Villains:

Dr. Destructo - Mad scientist type. He considers himself the nemesis of Commander Ares, but he's been beaten by E-girl at least twice.

Nightmare - Creator of a "Nightmare realm" where your worst fears come to life.

Red Baron - Think Dr. Doom without the scars. He's quite charming when he's not trying to take over the world..

The Caster - Owner of a magic wand, he's not considered a major threat.

Lord Dark Flame - Evil magician, main opponent of the Doctor.

The Gods:

Gaea - "Mother Nature" personified. Creator of E-Girl's power.

Coyote - Trickster god currently imprisoned at the center of the universe. It's his fault we've got Fluke running around.

Hephaestus - Grandfather of Hank Hollis, Keeper of the Forge and inventor.

The places:

The Compound - Ares has built this complex off the east coast of the U.S. Think S.H.I.E.L.D.'s helicopter base, but it doesn't fly.

There is also an as-yet-unnamed super prison, location not yet revealed.
