Sometime between 11a.m. and noon, PST, this morning, we hit 20,000,000 visitors on the site counter. Since that only goes back to June 15, 2005, we really had probably a million visitors in the six years before that. At the current rate of visitors coming to the site, we'll hit another 20 million in about three years. :)

We couldn't do it without all of you. :)

Thanks and hugs to all,
Erin

Don't be modest

The kind of site you have put together is why you get the hits. A less author and reader-friendly site wouldn't attract the numbers you get or the stories that are posted. I guess you could say this is the 'better mousetrap' of the LGBTQ fiction world!

But speaking from personal preference: you really should get a ball-bearing mousetrap! (ROFLMAO!)

I like cats

But I'm allergic. Also, I think any tomcat who hung around BCTS and understood the place would be very very nervous. :)

Besides, pusscats make better mousers, tomcats are just in it for the fun. :)

Tom cats are good mousers too

Bonzi is a rather good at killing things - when I tell him off, he gives me a look as if to say, 'But it just came apart in my paws, Ma.' At times my garden looks like a charnel house for rodents and other small furry or feathered things.

Whereas Whizz is a champion at opening bin bags--don't think she's killed anything bigger than a cranefly since she's been here.

You realise that half of the twenty million is me posting things or checking my comments and Karen J complaining about something (ducks quickly).

Seriously, I agree with what Karen said, this is the best site of its sort anywhere on the web. So 20,000,000 congratulations to you and the team.

$20 million dollar win

So who won the 20 million dollars for being the 20 mil. visitor?

Congratulations Erin.

It only goes to prove how a friendly site can win out in the end.

As to the Tomcat/pusscat debate I can only say this. Pusscats are usually better except when Mr tomcat want to impress her. Our local neighbourhood tom has been trying for years to win our pusscat's affections. (It'll never happen cos' Sushi has been doctored.) But the local fauna goes in fear of this green-eyed, blackcoated he-devil. ALmost every morning we find the remains of a mouse, bird, rabbit or rat in the yard. He's absolutely lethal! (We've even found a weasel and it had definitely suffered a violent end. It wasn't recovered road kill cos' it was still warm and it was a winter mid-morning appearence.)

Mind you Midnight (That's our name for him,) hasn't equalled his hoped for mate's achievemnt. Sushi killed a viper some time back.

This is without a doubt, the best TG site on the web. keep it up Erin and thanks again for giving it to us.

Congratulations - How many Unique Hits

Dear Erin

Congratulations.

Is here any way to easily determine how many, I guess you can call it "unique" individuals or I guess it is ISP's who have visited the site.

Not really

Saving that info would be difficult. But on a given day, we get about 15-20,000 unique visitors that day. Unique for the day. Only about 1000-2000 are members. And about 8-10,000 only look at the front page. But that's a lot of traffic. :)

Hugs,
Erin
