Just when you think it's safe to be around prawns again, someone always shows up with a dendobranchiatalizer. It never fails.

Dear Diana,
Congrats, Honey!
It will be great for you to lose the weight. It's also much, much easier, if you have some T and less than female puberty levels of estrogen, to lose weight.
For what it's worth, try and exercise back, butt and legs muscles. Work hard enough to increase the size of those muscles, because, even after the exercise is over, those muscles and your heart, etc. will keep burning calories. I'm thinking of skating, roller blading, bicycling, etc. There is also jogging, race walking and walking, but these are harder on ones joints because of the impact. Walking is the lowest impact of those three, but it burns calories so slowly that work-outs would have to build up to like 2 hours at a time.
There is also a weight set-point theory that says one's body is used to weighing what ever one's weight has been recently, months maybe. If you start losing the weight, no matter how much fat you have stored, your body thinks you are starving and starts lowering your metabolism so you burn fewer calories. For some reason, somewhat hard, prolonged exercise overcomes this set point so you will continue to have energy and burn calories regularly.
Just my opinion: maybe weight lifting, just with your legs would help, but I like aerobic exercise where you keep your heart rate much higher than normal constantly for a long time, or in intervals of hard work then easy work, etc. and also breathing much more than usual. I think, if you are walking and can maintain a conversation, you are working at such a low level that it will take a very long time to build muscle mass.
Of course, this might be all be wrong for you. You probably need advice from your doctor and from a fitness expert that understands your medical status.
Hugs and Bright Blessings,
Renee
