International Fry a Spammer Day
Between spammers, crackers and hackers, many websters have been kept very busy lately. I just deleted ten spam messages, and yesterday I spent half the day rescuing the old BC server from crackers. Thins have been even worse for some other websites. I hope the gabyzone and maddybell are back up soon.

Gaby Zone and Maddy Bell
PP&F hosts these sites along with Story Site and many others. Storysite was hacked on Tuesday, and the Gabyzone on Wednesday. The operators thought they had it all contained and back in service, but then the sites started crashing one by one. The released announcement said it was equipment failure. New equipment had to be located, then obtained, and programmed. As of 6PM EST on Friday, the sites were still down. They should be returned to service soon, we all hope. Other sites affected are TG Community, Faerie Manor, Reluctant Press, and many private sites. Hang in there for a quick repair.
Maddy has made a copy of her
Maddy has made a copy of her site, with some new updates, at a new location.

My understanding is that she intends to keep updating the old site as soon as the server becomes usable, but she will also keep the new copy going.

Gabyzone and others
I learned today that the owner is getting closer to getting gabyzone, tg-community and several others back on line. Hang in there for some of your favorites to return. Storysite and Maddy Bell are almost there.

I noticed today about 3:30 EST, that www.maddybell.com is back in operation. That can only mean that other sites like the gabyzone and tg community will also be back soon. Yes!
I spoke with the owner of the
I spoke with the owner of the PP&F server over the weekend. She told me that besides buying new hardware, she took the opportunity to update a lot of stuff while she was re-doing all the sites. She also told me that Gabyzone should be back one day this week, running on new hardware and software updates. So keep your eyes peeled. Hope to see ya soon.
Well, we found out some more
Well, we found out some more of what the hackers did, and the web mistress found more damage, but The Gaby Zone and some other PPF sites are back in operation. Still have a few repairs needed for uploading pics and text in places, but the forums and chat room interface are back.
