Time to build a snowman

congrates hunny, i luv the snow it is sore on my scars but they sure are fun, the way the snow glistles on the wood of the tree. the smell of the frost in a blizzard and of course the timeless, snowman and fort building, snow ball fights, angel making, and sticking your tongue out to catch snowflakes are sooo yum. It snowed over here in waterloo county, ontario last week but melted shortly after. It rained most of last night and all day today. I cant wait for the blanketting of the winter, im gonna have fun and i hope u do tooo hunny huggles lots!!! :)

Yet to see any here.

I live near Steeltown... we never seem to get snow. An hour in virtually any direction and you'll get *something*. Oh well, I'd rather our extreme no snow than London's metres of snow each year, by far.

I loved Ohio last winter.

I think we eventually had about 4 feet cumulative total for the winter, and it only got to zero once for about an hour. We were right on lake Erie, and got to walk on it and watch the Grand River have a couple Ice damn floods. We even got to go sking and snow shoeing.

Now I am back in bloody damnp soggy Oregon, and so wishing that some very dominant, and loving man will hit me on the head and drag me off to the tropics.

Snow? What's that?!

Over here in the UK Midlands, we're lucky to get more than a couple of inches worth over the entire winter - and it'll generally be gone within less than a week. Nevertheless, because it's so infrequent it's not economic for authorities to do anything other than grit the roads - so if (as can often happen) it rains between the gritting and the snowfall, or the ground temperature is too cold, chaos ensues - even though only a couple of inches have fallen.

January seems to be the preferred time for snow - white Christmases are exceedingly rare, and the official white Christmas is even rarer, as that's based on snow falling on the roof of London Weather Centre. Being an urban area, the temperature inside London is often a few degrees centigrade higher than outlying areas.
