Drabble Theatre: Reflecting

“So what’s wrong with being a boy?”

“Nothing, but I’m not a boy!”

“Okay, okay, that’s obviously clear by now. But will she understand?”

“She loves me right? Nothing would change that… I hope”

“God, I don’t even want to think about that possibility.”

“I have to tell her though. I don’t think I can carry on like this.”

“Yeah, I know… I know…”

“Think I’m ready to face her?”

“Ready? Probably not. But I can’t wait for that.”

“Johnny, are you talking to the mirror again?”, mom’s voice came from the hallway.

“Mom, I need to tell you something…”
