The story is as tied up as I intended to make it. Healing is in progress, the back story is revealed, all of the rest is dressing and side dishes. The dramatic tension is resolved. I intended to stop the story there, though I may be tempted to write a set-piece for nuptials, or similar events.

I've very much enjoyed the story through the highs and the lows. I might wish for more explicit resolution of the case against Den's bombers, and his healing, but then, this isn't his story, really.

You've got us involved in their lives, but we're not going to see it through? Does Annie get the Op, do they really get married, is Kirsty and Den's baby healthy, do they take down the Cuthberts? Maybe some of this can be handled in a different story, I don't know, but I really don't want to leave it there!

Adding to Wren's post will Annie and Eric ever get the chance to be parents, will little Timmy ever be rescued from the well, will anybody ever realise Lassie was a transgendered dog, no seriously though when is Annie gonna be promoted as she is obviously capable of more than custody sergent, we need details of Annie's weightloss, her sugery and wedding. Eric needs to do the Tour de france and other related cycling competitions for fun maybe while Annie cheers him on.
