There's fodder for a story here, somewhere! This news item first appeared last week, but I just tripped over it while poking around a news consolidation site.

(Reuters) - A mayor in Germany helped rescue a man who became trapped in a women's prison after mistaking it for a shortcut to a nearby park, police in the northern city of Hildesheim said on Wednesday.Hildesheim Mayor Henning Blum heard the man's cries for help while passing by the prison near the city center and notified police who came and freed the 24-year-old.
The man told police he was strolling through town and did not immediately notice he had walked into a prison. By the time it dawned on him where he was, the gate to the jail had already closed, locking him inside.
Police said they are investigating why the prison gate was open, enabling the man to wander in.
One possible storyline would be man wanders into prison, and gets disguised/hidden for awhile. Another possible story would be a woman prisoner disguises herself as a man and then claims to have wandered in by accident. Perhaps the mayor in that version of the story knew the prisoner and colluded in the escape.
I'm sure there are other plot ideas that could be inspired by this as well. Would love to hear yours!

reminded of a comic
back in '71 I stayed in a motel in Mexico while visiting a girl that I had hoped would be my fiance, that's a separate story sometime.
I happen to read one of the comic books on sale there with the plot of a male gang member in criminal gang lead by a good looking female. She is caught and incarcerated in a facility for women. Her second in command obtains magic pills from some source that will cause a gender transformation and has the lowest most effeminate member of the group take one.
Surprise, one good looking women, who looks nothing like any of the known members of the gang. She is now to visit the woman's lock up and obtain instructions from the now incarcerated crime boss. The female crime boss, inquires how her subordinate, now has become a she, and is shown the remaining pill, meant for his return to original status. For his trouble, he/she is knocked out, the pill taken, and in turn ingested by the female crime boss who, female no more, exits the facility looking nothing like the inmates, having traded prison jumper for the slacks and blouse her now his visitor had worn.
