Terrific start, interesting take on metas
This looks like a keeper.
Like how there are other metas with the opposite *trauma* to what Jean sufffered and how they are adapting/handling it. The govt *mom* is a good egg.

Just read the story, and I like it. But John is right, parts of the story are missing. Just after Scott got home from the testing the story 'jumped' to the dance, then jumped again... very confusing.

I have had my share of posting errors myself. Forgot to engage my brain before posting my comments and for that I do apologize.
Hope you can fix the post as the story so far is terrific and an interesting take on the whole meta and meta's changing sexes. Another case where what was in the mind affected what they became when the powers manifested. Interesting that.
I look forward to reading the completed story.
