Thank you all for the wonderful responses you gave me. They really made me feel a bit better about things. As for some of the issues you listed and possible solutions let me address them.

I know I have depression since I have had it my whole life. I am far better now than I was pretransition. I am currently on medication but that mostly keeps the downward spikes from going too far down. I am seeing a therapist and all is good. The fact that I posted this here and on my blog ensured that people knew about this and talked to me about it. That helps quite a bit.

Feeling glum happens some times and when it does I generally feel like I did when I posted last. This is just part of my regular cycle so no worries. I am still writing and still doing fine. I am not a failure, I just feel like one sometimes, which is not the same.

Body image issues are just a fact of life but I am working on those as well. So don't worry.
