Back on my bike.

At last I've been able to get back on my bike and do a little ride - only 27 miles with no real hills, so I feel a lot better. My wound is still weeping, which exercise has probably increased, but it did wonders for the rest of me. Anyway, it's on the mend and I feel much better about it.

Bonzi

Angharad's picture

has his own bike - I kid you not. He sits on it to eat his food - it's an old exercise bike, of which he's eaten half the saddle.

Sounds like....

That sounds like a picture well worth seeing!

It's good to hear you're back in the saddle. Hmmm. Perhaps the twists in the story came from your not riding... Nah, your imagination is quite fertile enough to come up with these twists, as you've proven over and over again.

Be well,
Annette

Good to hear!

Bonzi's bike sounds a bit of a worry. I don't know about others, but some photos of the machine and its owner (eating) might be good!

FWIW, the newer member of this household (a fierce 2-y-o tabby) has a pen fetish. He loves to attack, kill and bite them, then bury the unsuspecting pen under books or paper. I keep hoping that he'll turn into an author (au Bonzi) but he hasn't managed to produce anything of note to date. The only thing he's managed to demonstrate so far, is that the claw is definitely mightier than the pen.

Anyhow, it's great to hear that you're back cycling. I just hope that you'll look after yourself and not take any unnecessary risks before you're fully healed.

I'm glad you're back biking and on the mend.

I've had a crummy sinus infection since mid July. The first antibiotic did fairly well, but apparently didn't kill everything, so the infection came back. I'm only riding every few days and going very easy.

Yay!

Glad to hear that you feel well enough to have a decent ride!

Well done kid.

Give me a high five!!

Good to hear your back on your bike. 27 miles sounds pretty good but your lucky it's all flat.
There's no way I could manage 27 on the flat around my house. (It's Wales.) The most I can get is about five and then it's hills (Miles of em!).
Besides although the bones have knitted, the torn scapula ligaments are taking much longer.
It's too hunched-over to use the road bike cos too much strain on shoulder with drop handlebars, and too much vibration on the trails without tarmac so it's the Hybrid bike on roads and even that hurts.
Still just like you, it's really good to be back on the bike and it does wonders for the rest of me.

If your on the mend that's all that matters.
Bonzi's bike sounds really wierd! That's Sushi saying 'Hi' to Bonzi.
That's all for now.
