Next application cycle?
OK, it doesn't resolve how you'll keep going in the short term, but if you've still got copies of your application, find out when the next application cycle starts and get it in as soon as the cycle / season starts. If there are other colleges within easily commutable distance offering the course you want, send copies to them as soon as their application cycle / season starts as well. With the economic downturn, many people will be looking to study courses over the next few years until the economy approves, so it pays to get your applications in ASAP.
In the meantime, good luck - both with future applications and (presumably) hunting for a temporary job to tide you over in the meantime.
