I'd been listening to the song, Jessie's Girl by Rick Springfield, when I started wondering what the song might be like if a few of the words were changed. The results of that musing can be found in the lyrics below. :)

As a radio DJ for ten or so years in the 80s and 90s, I had ample chance to change at least parts of the lyrics to songs, including "Jessi's Girl". Only in the bridge I used "I wish that I was Jessi's girl .. Why can't I be a woman like her?"
Another good one is "California Girls", by the Beach Boys (only in my reality they're the all-trans group the Beach Bunnies!). "We wish we all could be California girls".
I actually use this last bit as part of my guest lectures, where I try to have students relate if they were on a mythical "Planet Stonewall", where it's the *straights* having to fight for their rights, etcetera. I think it really opens their eyes...
