Well, I am in "wait" mode, waiting for wednesday, when I will hopefully hear back from my counsilor's and maybe, just maybe, be able to fast track my transition. I need a back-up plan in case this doesnt work, so I dont get devestated and just give up hope. Still noodling that idea. meanwhile, I am slowly but surely starting to work on my next piece, but it might take a while. Ah, well.

I don't know of a single shrink that will let you speed things up.

So far, my impression is that you are dealing with a lot of Trauma not associated with being GID. One of the things that knotched my T'ness ahead was that I was severly injured and could no longer do the "Manly" things that kept my self doubt about myself at bay.
I decided to do the SRS in 2004, but it took until 2007 to actually get it done.
Somehow, I had deluded myself that my Family would adapt to the new me. They haven't and aren't going to. Don't kid yourself, those who have a good relationship with their family afterward are the exception.
Please forgive me for sounding like a hard ass. This fucking road to womanhood is a killer, and I don't want anyone starting down it without counting the cost.
