Fairytale Drabbles: Sleeping Beauty / Cinderella

Oh dear... after exploiting nursery rhymes, I've now found a couple of fairy tales to exploit - and squeeze into drabble format.
Familiarity with the original tales is highly recommended!


What if Sleeping Beauty was TG?

After 300 years of trying, Beauty still wouldn't wake up. In desperation, a physician was summoned.
He examined Beauty, then smiled and dialled a number.

A few hours later, Princess Charming entered the castle, strolled up to Beauty's room, then gently hugged and kissed her.

As Beauty woke up, the Princess whispered: "There, there, my love - your secret is safe with me.
Would you believe these dimwits still can't get their heads around the transgendered or lesbians!"

Beauty giggled, then to the astonishment of all the courtiers, the two girls descended the stairs arm in arm.

I figured after 300 years of waiting, mobile phones would probably have arrived in Fairytaleland...


TG Cinderella

The Prince was frustrated. Although the shoe fit numerous girls, none of their faces resembled the beauty he'd danced with last night. He was therefore surprised when the shoe-shine boy asked to try it on. Jokingly, the Prince agreed - only to find the shoe and the face fitted. The boy revealed that he was a noble, but knew he was a girl inside. His sisters hated him, so treated him like dirt. The Fairy Godmother then appeared and promised to change the boy permanently if/when the Prince announced his engagement. The Prince, hopelessly in love, said "Yes".

Yes, the ending's a bit rushed - but then when you've only 100 words to play with...
