something I'd love to hear
both the song itself and the situation it describes. Very moving.
Made me think of Alyssa's sweet, hopeful story Tonight is the Night.
As romantic ballads go (I'm assuming it's a ballad and not a polka)
it is right up there with the best of Rundgren's stuff. And again,
I love when you take off the training wheels of tributes/parodies
and give us your own beautiful eloquent voice...

My dear friend here has been kind enough to write in Italian
She was precious enough to refer to me as her sweet sister, and complemented me on the song. I was remiss in not addressing this sooner, as this is one of the nicest things anyone has ever done for me.
