I am suprised
No one has commented.
I do admit and so does Danielle the first section is vaguely upsetting because the two main charaters misuse magic for money and in particular there is a brutal scene where, let's say something bad happens.
Ultimately this is a very upbeat story of love, redemption, the power of family, second chances and chess. It is fairly long and will take much of an afternoon or evening to read but it will be well worth while. This and Mulligans are two of Danielle's best, enjoy.
