There was a wishing well in the park down the road where Peter lived and he would go there after school every afternoon on his way home. He always made sure he had some coins in his pocket because nothing happened till he dropped a coin into the well and heard it splash into the water that seemed to be a long way down. Only when he heard the coin hit the water did he close his eyes and make his favourite wish, which was of course - you guessed it - being a girl instead of a fifteen year old boy.
