Imagine waking up one day and feeling that your body was attacking you. Imagine developing an overwhelming urge to tear your own skin off, you’re in that much psychological pain from what you’re experiencing. My parents told me that it was normal- that I was turning into a woman. It was at that exact moment that a switch flipped in my brain. I’d suspected previously what was wrong, but this confirmed it.
