Seeking Alyssa Davis

Blog About:

Author:

I'm hoping someone has contact information for Alyssa Davis, who wrote several stories that appeared on Crystal's Story Site and Fictionmania. I asked this question last year and the only response was crickets and tumbleweed ...

If anyone knows but doesn't want the info public, please PM me or have her contact me directly through BCTS.

Thanks!
Karin

"The Procedure" & "The Graduate"

Towards the end of the movie “The Graduate”, Benjamin (played by Dustin Hoffman) frantically rushes to save Elaine (Katherine Ross) from marrying. He drives to San Francisco and across the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge to Berkeley, where the wedding ceremony is taking place. Simon & Garfunkel merrily sing in the background as there’s a spectacular shot of Benjamin’s car driving in the sunlight over the bridge crossing the sparkling waters of San Francisco Bay–

Except you can’t do that ...

New Karin Bishop book at Amazon!

I have a new ebook, "The Haight", exclusively at Amazon for Kindle. It's part of the Kindle Select program, which means Amazon Prime members can get it for free.

It's the story of ...oh, heck--here's the link:
http://www.amazon.com/The-Haight-ebook/dp/B006SU6R4Y/ref=sr_...

"The Haight" is set in 1967 San Francisco, and is more mainstream than some of my other books; TG is only one of several elements in the story. It has famous, real-world people in it as well as fictional characters, and is as historically and socially accurate as possible.

I'm very pleased and proud that my newest ebook, "Reclamation", is now available in the UK at amazon.co.uk, along with my other titles (as well as books by Nancy Cole, Tanya Allan, and other BCTS authors). The book will be exclusively available in Kindle versions and is also offered under their "Amazon Prime" program (see them for details; I'm a bit confused about it, myself!)

I am very proud to announce my new novel, Reclamation, is now available at Amazon for the Kindle. It has a transgendered main character but is much more in the form of a mainstream thriller. Worked darn hard on the thing, too! It’s exclusively at Amazon for purchase and as part of their “Kindle Lending Library” for 90 days. The link is: Karin Bishop's Reclamation

Anybody know where these authors are?

Taxonomy upgrade extras:

Author:

I'd like to contact Alyssa Davis. She doesn't seem to have been on BCTS, and her stories' last appearance on Fictionmania and Crystal's StorySite was in 2002. Any ideas of her whereabouts or how to find out?

Stephanie James is another that seems to be MIA; she doesn't seem to be on BCTS, FM, or C'SS!

Any help in contacting or any info about these writers would be appreciated!

New eBook from Karin Bishop

I have just uploaded a new ebook, "Fool Moon", to both Amazon/Kindle and Lulu (EPUB & PDF). Probably be available in 24-48 hours. Another labor of love gone out into the world ...sigh ...

It's a tale of a high school graduate with no prospects who agrees to repay a debt owed to ...well, sort of a witch ...
He discovers that he has Power, and he learns that the Power is transforming him into ...well, sort of a female ...

It combines magic and history; BCTS readers were very favorable to my stories "Breath of Life" and the most recent "The Story of My First Lives". I hope you enjoy it!

Karin Bishop on Stardust

Taxonomy upgrade extras:

Author:

Just wanted to say that I've dipped my toe in the waters at Stardust. Some PMs have asked about early writings and so I've posted "Cross-Country". It's kinder and gentler, in keeping with Stardust policies, and it's one of my earlier TG stories. Re-reading before posting surprised me about some of the tropes and elements I've used later, but there are still some nice people in it. If you have comments or critiques, let me know here on BCTS rather than Stardust because I'm more comfortable with the BCTS system.

Enjoy the story!

Please review and rate eBooks

Taxonomy upgrade extras:

'Tis the season and many eBooks of BCTS authors will (hopefully!) be purchased. Whether you like books by Nancy Cole, Erin Halfelven, Angela Rasch, Donna Lamb, or my own, please help us out by rating the books and posting a review. We get your feedback by comments on our stories at BCTS, but none from our online books. So let us know!

Thank you, and have a great and safe holiday season!

Karin

PS: Readers of different formats have PMed me asking for whereabouts of my (and others') books. Mine are at:

Finally got my books online!

It's been a long haul and I don't know how many uploads/edits/reuploads/edits/reuploads ...

But my current six books, including the four-part series "On the Run–Again", are up on Lulu as both EPUB and PDFs. Readers have already let me know about preferring PDFs; please let me know that they're working well (they test okay, but nothing's like the real world).

And, finally, Kindle versions are available at Amazon!

A Sort of Mission Statement ...

Taxonomy upgrade extras:

Author:

I write for the joy of meeting new people–my characters–and learning what happens to them. I'm very interested in the discovery of a person's true nature and sexual identity, and exploring different genres and structure. If I may offer some advice: Try not to got caught up in medical or scientific details. While I try to be accurate, it's not this medical procedure or that genetic revelation that matters–it's the character's journey that is most important.
