I’m trying to consider editing a long-deleted screenplay I wrote. (I accidentally wiped the wrong SD cards). I may have posted this before but I have seriously been placing thought in written the prose version.
I skipped a freebie week, so we’re once again doing a double up:
The e-books for: “Are You Happy” and “Desert Rose” will be free for this week from Amazon.
“Are You Happy” is kind of a depressing delve into the madness mind of Stephen Thomas and his “guardians’: the Elvin princess Ayle and a grim reaper-in-training who never makes it, “Skully”. The reader is asked to ponder if they’re a part of Stephen’s broken psyche or if they indeed exist.
I am setting the “the twins’ as free on Amazon for the first week in June.
“A Change Would Do You Good” and “the best damn thing” were written at about the same time and both take place in Alabama. “Change” is set on the shores of Orange Beach while Prattville hosts the plotline for “tbdt”. Both are bitter stories…but one ends on a happy note that has allowed me to try to think of a follow-up story.
Both will be available to free for Kindle on 6/2/2023 to 6/5/2023.
I apologize that I have not worked on these two as much as I should…it has been slow due to having to deal with the insurance company on why we’re still in a hotel.
“Cherry Moone: MooneShadows” will be free on Amazon for the week of May 22nd-26th. It is a fictional story but has a few real sitations and a lot of real and sometimes explicit dialogue.
Cherry Moone: MooneShadows
I made the decision to place the entire story on Amazon.
And I have learned that my title is in no way original and that page formatting issues have creeped in.
She’s the main character of a long-running bishoujo manga “High School Senpai”: Popular, outgoing and caring to all, including the younger students who look up to her. She’s is the comic dream girl for one Anthony “Tony” Kincaid. But what happens when she turns up, in the flesh, at his high school?
Virtually Yours “Do It Again” glosses over Christmas (due to Wi-Fi issues where Seth is at the time) and now he is also conflicted as he spent time talking with someone he met at the ski slopes. How will Elise take this news?
Releasing later this week.
As I sit in this hotel room, I have come to the decision to try and work on something as there is very little I can do with my house at this time. The entire second floor needs to be gutted and rebuilt and that is a bit out of my area of expertise
Due to a house fire yesterday, I regretfully must place all of my WIP's on hiatus until I can work out the insurance adjusters and so forth.
The house sustained more smoke and soot damage but due to the cause of the fire power has been cut. We are in a hotel at the present time. I hope to get back to posting soon.
I spent a lot of yesterday trying to piece together a “meeting of the minds” between Jennifer Monroe and Travis Miller. Travis was one of the guys who left her for dead on the side of road in Missoula, Montana. Three years later, she returns to Missoula to confront her past tormentor:
I want to know if this is a good example of “gas-lighting”:
“It Can Only Go Up From Here”
Chapter 8 “Not Just a Girl” (snippet)
I would like to request if I could have anyone take a quick read through some of the chapters of “A Cracker Barrel Christmas”. I am trying to clean up some edits as I want to submit the book to the local Cracker Barrel locations in my area BUT, I want to make sure that the story holds and is believable. The book is on the site, divided by chapters.
I am trying to sell my Surface Pro tablet in order to work on some med bills. I have not had much luck selling it. I guess people do not like Microsoft
Microsoft Surface Pro X 13" Touch
$550
128GB SSD
Microsoft SQ1 processor 3.00 GHz
8GB RAM
The tablet is included along with the keyboard cover, protective case and Surface Pen (first gen, alkaline battery version)
Went to the doctor the other day (finally, I know) and received news that I expected: probable heart valve failure.
I'm on a few types of medications for it...but, there has been a bit of a build up of pain to my left side. I'm not going panic as much because, perhaps it is a side effect to what i'm having to take.
Anyway, I'm supposed to have a few tests this week, so we will see what happens.
Until then, I regret, I do not have the focus to work on any of my WIPs...sorry.
I've been informed that I have aortic stenosis but no one is sure how long I have had it. This does explain the feelings of being tired and having little strength to do anything strenuous (or simply walking for more than a few minutes)
I don't know really why I'm posting this here. Maybe just to get it out of my head. For now, I have to we if i can get an appointment with a cardiologist.
The forgotten set of free e-books…
I wasn’t sure if I should advertise them since one is a downer and we’re past Christmas for the other. They will be free today until Saturday (2/24-2/26) on Amazon
Every February I take a few of my books and give away copies of the ebook on Amazon.
Right now, Bloomsday, A Window to Your Heart and Cherry Moone are free until the 16th.
On the 17, A Change Will Do You Good, Desert Rose and To Be a Different Someone will be on the free block.
The only thing I ask is if you can leave a review on Amazon (If you choose)
working on the final three chapters…
Next up is the town socialite Christmas party with Nikki finding herself as the unexpected guest of honor of the Thomas family.
(Yes, I am one of those people who welcomes the Christmas season the day after Halloween)
“A Cracker Barrel Christmas” takes place in a small town in Western Tennessee and focuses on Nicole Armitage, the youngest of the family, and the one who is caught in the middle of all of the arguments the family has every Christmas. This year, her oldest—and self-proclaimed hero of the town—brother is bringing his family home for the holidays and Nikki dreads having to defend her life.
