I wanted to let you know that my internet is gone, it'll take a good week to get it fixed completely. I'm posting this at my brother's house. Of course this means I won't be able to post my stories as fast as I wanted to. I've got chapter 9 up of The Crossroads. I'm in the process of working on chapters 10, 11, and the final chapter, chapter 12, and I hope to get these posted as fast as I can. Sorry about that!
Had a busy few weeks, mostly moving to another neighborhood. It was quite hectic, among other things. Didn't know if you guys missed me or not (I hope you did! ;_;) but I figured an explanation was in order.
In any event, I'll have another chapter of Ithycca done soon, then resume writing more of Scott Ryan's story in the Crossroads. I really haven't worked on that in awhile, and I'll most likely focus the next few weeks on that. Of course, it may not be released as fast as I normally do (which is fast!) but I'll be doing what I can while I unpack and get settled in.
So yesterday I took a look and my story, "Ithycca: Chapter 1," had reached 1000 readers. It's kind of a big moment to me. I'm so happy people are reading and commenting on my stories and appreciating what I do.
I've not been a member long- nearly two months. So to become a beloved and respected member here is really a blessing. I wanted to give out my thank yous. And, just ahead of time, if I don't personally name you, that doesn't mean I appreciate you any less!
Last week I wrote part one of my new series Ithycca. After writing the beginning I needed to find a way to keep myself from getting bored. I guess I'm one of those people that like to read the good parts of a story and sometimes get turned off if a story drags along.
So, I decided to write the story in a different way. Basically I'm writing the good parts in my head first, and then adding in the parts leading up to them as I go along. I actually find it rather enjoyable this way.
Of course that means I have chapter 4, 5, and 8 done, before I even got to chapter 2, but eh.
Hi, I wanted to let you know I just got through with my first chapter of my solo series, called Ithycca. This is the first story I've written by my lonesome, separate from other universes and the like. I hope you guys will read it. I think you'll like it! Comments and kudos are welcomed!
Hey there. I have been putting a little thought on my next few chapters of the Heart of it All. I've noted that around the Toledo Area and Detroit is a sizable Muslim population. In the Lake States Muslims have formed bazaars and their influence help make the country into the merchant based society they are today.
At the border though, in Toledo, many Muslims have to hide the fact. While at home they practice their religion in secret, many have to go so far as to "Anglicize" their names in order to get by on the Confederate ran streets.
I've always wondered about everyone's view on transexuality as it involves the behaviors of the transgendered individual. When I normally write my stories, I tend to not focus so much on the physical change of the individual as I do the mental change, for example. How much does your femininity (or masculinity) affect how you behave in your life.
I got part 2 done and up, if anyone is interested. I originally began the story in Ian's view, but then I got to thinking it would be kind of cool focusing this part in Scott's eyes.
This is mostly a flashback, to get to understand Scott and her past. Also I wanted readers to understand her personality.
Lastly this is from the "Wyld Universe!" They're suppose to have some super powers, right? I introduced some of that in their too.
I'll continue with Part 3 in Ian's POV. I'll most likely switch back and forth between the two characters after every chapter.
I wanted to introduce myself with a blog. My name is Aoife (ee-fuh), or at the very least it is here, lol, I've been a long time lurker, only recently deciding to come out of hiding and finally connect with you awesome people. Like most of you I am always having these creative muses that take over my mind from time to time, and try as I might, they eventually build up and explode out of my mind like a volcano.
