If you are thinking of living in a car or van DON'T. Unless very skilled and lucky.
Times are rotten for many people especially those of us in the TGTS community. Things may be creating desperation to act fleeing a situation by living in your car or van. This is a last resort only as the situation is becoming grim for those who are doing so now. My girls and I lived for 6 years in a friendly area with an agreeable land lord in our 35 foot school bus.
I am very technically inclined so I was on top of that. We had no other options as things were not to terrible that people were willing and able to look the other way and as long as you did not make a nuance of your self, most cops would leave you slide. This is no longer true. The below is a message I sent to a very special person who is contemplating this drastic move. I am not easily spooked and I have faced people bigger than be with nothing than a broken lawn mower blade wrapped with tape. But I would not live on the streets again if I had any other option.
Please read this with a little understanding I feel close to every one here, no I do not consider any of you helpless or unable to think things through. Yes properly prepared and in special situations and locations it is still workable but that aside I must caution you that not a lot of truth or what is really happening to these people is reported, and the police are not being forced to report there more nasty practices, as they are well outside of the law. If I come across strident on the border of crazy scared I am. I love you all and I am saying this from the best place in my heart.

How to communicate just what I am thinking and feeling. Can it be done yes with caveat's , Should you do it NO NO NO. I am the veteran of living in a school buss for 6 years and I looked at it as living in a laboratory. I am very technologically skilled that was a not enough. If yo are lonely now it will become far worse if you do this. It is not like an extended camp out it is being sentence like a prisoner exiled to seeing everyone live a normal life around you while you starve.
You by necessity become paranoid of people to the point of becoming a phantom slinking from shadow to shadow. All of the things that are easy now become so much harder requiring so much more time than before. Even getting rid of a bag of fast food trash can get you spotted, and in contact with the law. Getting your potty dumped is a real problem, and you will need one, is problematic. We had a free RV dump near us, I had a fantastic spring water well just around a corner. I became very adapted in filling our needs, But it nearly got me shot dead several times once disposing of my chemical toilet content where I was suppose to. A trucker became irate screaming obscenities drawing his gun. I was off like a bunny but shook for hours. The times have changed immensely over the last 3 years since we got into public housing. My spouse did us a favor by leaving that put my girls and I at the top of the list. And it has gotten worse. People are on the edge and strike at any thing they can or are afraid of. You will be alone and an easy target for every nutcase and malcontent out there.
It may also not save you any money because feeding your self becomes extraordinarily expensive. I had two freezers and a refrigerator along with a well equipped galley. Everything must be purchased in very small quantities and you are very dependent on other peoples good will, which is in short supply. Most Wall marts now are forbidden by local law to allow people to stay in there lot for any real sleep time. Here in Washington State in the Seattle area even the Fremont authorities actually hunt for the homeless to drive them off or worse arrest them. There cars or vans are destroyed by crushing and in 24 hours you are dumped some place near a smelly bad place, badly beaten up. Then almost no medical people will help you because you have no ID NO money and they do not want hassle with the cops.
It may just pay you to look for another place away from the distractions. If it is truly the only way please contact me by the Pm function and I can and will help you to the best of my abilities. I do consider you a fantastic person and I do not want you to run into a real mess. Existence is no longer a right, since the Patriot act every ones life is in danger from trigger happy people looking for fun. We got out just in time the next month the locals and the state cops rounded up 130 people in our area and gave them special treatment. I knew many of them and I have only been contacted by one. The rest are MIA.

Sounds like grounds for a lawsuit. Fishing expeditions. (Legal term for something illegal the cops do.) Profiling. Wrongful, and unlawful arrest. Destruction of private property, without compensation. Theft of papers (IDs, the police by law have to return you ID and anything else they take from you, when you are arrested, unless is it contraband, such as illegal drugs.).
Know your rights.
On the matter of gun rights, the Supreme Court ruled that a car is an extension of ones whom. The cops need a warrant to lawfully search your private vehicle. And this would apply to cars in general.
I can actually see the lawsuit. "Driven to live in car by society, cop make victims homeless."
But, since Settle is a socialist city, the members of the press are silent.
Lawsuit - don't be naive
If you are near the top of the heap then you have options and choices. You may even have the resources to fund a lawsuit and you may even be lucky enough to get the system aka 'them' to give you something approximating justice.
If you are put, sent, find yourself or otherwise get to the bottom of the heap MN is too right the system will find you 'unsuitable' therefore will hate you (unemotionally of course), damage you, destroy you and generally be very unkind.
Of course, if you don't want to be too likely to get to the bottom of the heap - then never be different, never be non-normal, always be average and try to be rich.

Oh a lawsuit is possible
Finding a lawyer, in exchange for fifty percent of any winning, is not that hard.
Though, if you just bow down to tyranny, you are going to be beaten like a dog by that tyranny.
At that point you have nothing to lose for fighting for your rights. One of three things will happen.
1. You win a lawsuit against the police.
2. The police will kill you. That isn't suicide. Personally, I believe in the afterlife.
3. You end up in jail with a bed, and three meals at day, at someone else expense.
Free Fall
You may have grounds to sue but if your are dead right what does that win. Since the passage of the Patriot with all of the secret added amendments, the only ones with true rights are the Corporations. Any police officer in a corrupt system is allowed to veto your rights and play judge jury and executioner.
It is not the socialist's or anarchists plotting this one but the WTO who have said in the press that Seattle needed to be punished because of government sponsored group who was the law breakers and the vandals. The same group of people also disrupted several other protests groups playing Agent Provoker's. Those people were moved from place to place on the tax payers bill. This gave the excuse for the beatings of innocent bystanders and peaceful demonstrators.
Several of the local small town police forces have been found to have representatives of black watch groups like Black water training them how to get around any judge that may hamper this revolution that blames the victim's of the fraudulent bankers. Everett Wa use to be a nice friendly town but they have hired several officers fired by Seattle for pepper spraying people stuck in there cars trying to go home away from the protests.
This is The new world order ownership society taking all of us for a ride. I am normally non political , believe it or not, but in the 1970s I went to collage with many kids from central and south America hearing first hand what both American Political parties were doing to there countries. In my story Shift Happens Michele is a real person I went to school with but under another name. What I depicted there is what really what happened in her life. Yes I embellished the TS portion but the political drama in the story was blow by blow.
