Yikes ! A man on Facebook, actually more than one, has have expressed interest in me, and when I started to tell him, he said he did not care. He is an ocean away, so there is relatively little risk he will just show up on my door step ... I think. Hmmm.
He looks quite juicy, like perhaps the Duke of Bath?
Now I am being put to the test. What have I been playing at these last nearly 10 years? Am I a woman or just in love with the idea? This will by necessity move slow as I am not about to buy or let him buy me a plane ticket to cross the pond, um just yet, me thinks. :)
What will he say when I tell him there is no intimacy with out a ring? Yes, as a matter of fact I am that old fashioned.
He's a widower, so perhaps all he needs is an on line companion for a while? I can do that, and if he tires of me, what is a few tears?

Generally speaking, Men are a bad lot. The minority of exceptional, nice men are almost always quickly identified, wooed and married for life. As soon as one is out of one's twenties, I would say that any men running free still and not attached must have something wrong with them, and the likelihood they have bad things hidden away rises with their age.
Of course there are Exceptions, you MIGHT be lucky, but the odds are very much against that, so be ever so careful, please do.

There are exceptions - chronic introvert here who generally avoids social hangout locations...
However, with someone you only know from the 'net, there's every reason to be cautious. Be wary of revealing any personally identifiable information, and only agree to a physical meeting if (a) you happen to be in the same region of the same country as him anyway for another reason, (b) you agree to meet in a public location, (c) you have a chaperone to minimise the dangers of anything untoward happening.
As the right side of the brain controls the left side of the body, then only left-handers are in their right mind!
