Well, I get up around 4AM tomorrow, drive to the clinic with my boy, and go back to sleep under an anesthesiologist's care. 4-5 Hours later I will wake up with a new vagina. It is funny, I've been scared and nervous about this surgery once I knew it was going to happen, but no more. Waiting is the hard part, but now the waiting is over. I am excited about it, but mostly just want to get it over with.

That was exactly how I felt when I had my surgery. No doubts, no nerves, just excitement at knowing I would finally be myself physically.

Instructions from one who has come this way.
For a funner ride, tell them NO Morphine. Everyone I ever knew to use Morphine was sicker than a dog for days. Instead, I asked them to use Versed, conscious sedation. It is a little party after that. I got back from surgery about 11:00 PM and sang all night long. About 7:00 am, I went back to my room and they gave me a sleeping pill, spoil sports ! :)

I suspect special requests are kinda out. It is 4:50AM here, and I am just about to head out.
At this point I am really excited. It will be something all together different, they called it the Asian technique. Scrotum becomes the vagina, the penis body becomes the labia, and the head of the penis the clitoris. Doc says they have really good luck keeping sensation that way.

It is my place only as a member of this online community here to respond to your comment. Please know that even complete strangers to you are reading your news and rejoicing for you. We know it takes a lot of courage, years of determination, and usually a lot of persevering with various people encountered in one's journey to be able to achieve this moment. For these reasons, we all admire you, not just congratulate you.
In a perfect world, no one would feel a need to have positive examples like yours to inspire and encourage the others out there. The world isn't perfect, of course. And you are now officially an inspiration to others, so Yay! Please be proud of your personal success. Please be proud that your success is surely an inspiration to others, some of them in their own TS journeys and others who are always inspired when any person gets themselves to the 'promised land'. By now, you're probably just dealing with pain a lot and rejoicing a lot. If it helps, remember there are people here, and you maybe don't even know a lot of us and we maybe don't know you either, who are very happy for you, thinking of you, and hoping for a really great medical recovery.
