Hello from stormy Tennessee

Howdy y'all!

I just thought I'd come back from the great nowhere to let you all know I'm still alive and what's been up with me. As anyone who has been reading my fanfic knows, I am still doing the whole story telling thing. I only have two stories battling it out in my head and Written In The Body keeps winning especially as it's near the end. I am having fun with it and am about to introduce a plot element that has been hinted at for over 20 chapters or 140k words roughly. I am a bit nervous how it will play out but there has been a lot of subtle hints there. You know how I am, more so than most.

My YA story is going nicely, with fits and starts, as the second book requires a knowledge of Boston I really don't have. That makes it lots of fun. Just last night I had to google "best places to busk in Boston" for a chapter. A tiny moment but important. Oy... the madness. I so need to visit and wander aimlessly for a bit, just to get a feel for the place. Oh well.

The more interesting news is that the VA Voc Rehab people are going to try something... interesting with me. Since I am now listed as 100% disabled and it is impractical for me to get a regular job or go to school for a job my counselor wants to try something that has never been done to her knowledge. She wants the career person to help me become a published author.

I know, crazy right? But to this end I am probably going to get a good VTT software, and assistance on the whole pursuit of publication thing. Given that I will have been going after an agent for a year on the 7th I would not turn down the help. So now I have to come up with stuff to make the case for them helping me, things they can do, assistance they can provide and the like. That should prove to be fun. The better my list the more likely I can sell this to them, because it will not sound like a pipe dream but an actual valid and viable plan. Who knows it might even work?

So there you go... what I have been up to as of late including the interesting VA idea. This may or may not go anywhere as they will probably have to present it to their superiors. Here's hoping.

TTYAL!
