Some people who have seen my comments to story posts, and blogs would be aware I am not dead yet. Neither is Shift Happens. I have been working chiseling out the next installments, and trying to organize, just how to present and format the story, so it makes the most sense. The next portion is titled The Climb , and it was getting to big and cumbersome, to make one post, so it will be in three, A B C .

I have a new editor on a trial basis, who knows my work backwards and forwards as she is my beloved ex wife. She is an amazing editor and a writer to her own credit. But she asked me if she could be a help in dressing my stories for market. She is like BASF from there commercials, she does not create my stories she only makes THEM BETTER. ( read UNDERSTANDABLE) Having been reading my works for 15 years she is aware of my quirky spelling, and dodgy punctuation. So I am hope that I can save a nervous breakdown, of any unfortunate and less familiar Editor, by accepting my ex's generous editorial offer.

I promise to keep the story moving along at a better speed as I have been writing things a head in the next chapters. So please be patient, and you should like the continuing of the adventures of Michele, nurse and songbird.
