I just wonder if other authors do this, and I find myself doing it often from time to time. When I get to procrastinating or lose my drive to write during the night, I go back and read comments from old stories. Also, since I got into the habit of leaving author notes at the end of my postings, sometimes I go back and read those too.
I always wonder about what was going on in my life when I posted. Sometimes it is plainly obvious (like when my aunt died) and other times I can't remember for the life of me what was happening when I posted the story. I just read through the comment section of The Test Taker. It seemed like so long ago, but it was just in October.
I haven't posted anything since, but it's not like I haven't been busy writing. I am working on my new novel and it is taking forever. I do plan on something for Christmas and am going to put the novel to the side on Monday. I really don't like the idea of doing that, but the last Christmas story I wrote got lost because I wrote it after the 25th and was going to wait til this year. I might try my hand at writing two stories during the same time, but that never seems to work and I always get confused. We will see.
Hope people are motivated too.

Multi tasking
I can do that as well or better than the next woman, but I have a distinct problem attempting to write more than one story at the same time.
I am too afraid I'd lose the "atmosphere" of one or the other tale and I'm also worried people, places or plotlines might leak across the boundary.
Occasionally, like when I wrote "Aunt Alice's Legacy", I had no choice but to drop SEE and rush the new story through to completion. I was just lucky that it was short enough and the whole thing got completely plotted out in my mind. (While I wasn't looking. Damn, that muse has a lot to answer for!)
There are some authors here (Bailey Summers, I'm looking at you!) who seem to be able to write a number of stories simultaneously. I take my Easter Bonnet off to them!

I don't mind
I don't mind an author writing multiple stories if they see them through in a timely fashion. I understand Angh wants to write more than bike, but normally the other stuff gets finished quickly. Nothing is more discouraging than waiting and waiting for the end of a story (yes, I like endings HINT HINT) even if they are open ended. There are several stories that I have written that people have asked me to continue on with the character though (Danny, The Dress Punishment immediately come to mind) but I did finish the story that they were in so I feel good about myself.
My current piece I have been working on for more than 2 months and my poor beta readers are probably sick of it already. Honestly, I didn't think it was going to turn out as long as it did, but I think I am almost done. I just would hate to miss writing a Christmas story. Today is my scheduled day off from the novel, I might do something about Christmas. I really think my Christmas story in mind is a one parter that I could knock out in a few days (But i've fed myself that line before)
