According to 'Who's online' on the right hand side of the home page, we appear to be having very few guests. Normally the guests by far outstrip the number of registered users.
Any thoughts?

Guest counting
Because of the caching we installed and the way Drupal counts the guests, they don't show up as much as before. Basically, we only load a new page for guests once every five minutes. Members get current stuff. But really there are about 5 to 15 times as many guests on the site as members at any particular time.

Re: Guest counting
What's the point of showing how many guests there are on the site, if it doesn't show the true figure?

Dave.
That's the way the software works
And rewriting it is not going to happen for various reasons.

I once was a caterpillar.
I was once a guest, now I broke through my cocoon and am now Aoife! ;P
Where have all the guests gone?
We became members.I was a guest for a few years and decided like others to participate in the site with comments and kudos, something I do not regret.
