The most profoundly thrilling thing in life for me is music and in almost every genre from Apalachian Hill Country, to Tabla Turbo to Kathrine Jenkins to ZZ Top to Queen to Handel and I likes it loud enough for my subwoofer to make nail pops in my walls. My soul soars with the angels.

So, it was with great astonishment that in my months long quest, I found that my constant sore throat and hoarseness was not Cancer, but internalisation of emotional tension according to the ENT throat specialist, who recommended that I go go a speech pathologist, who showed me how to breathe and how to get my voice into my nose once again. After weeks of work, she recommended that I find a singing teacher; that she felt there was a lovely voice hiding in all that tremulous emotional whiny muck.

Two weeks ago, I was able to sing in church; which is astonishing in that I once swore the next time I entered one it would be bearing suitable inflammatory agent and matches.

Last week I was out on my bike and rode past a house that had a sign on it that said,"Singing and Piano Lessons". I made contact with the instructor, and was astonished to find that I knew him from previous volunteer work at the local hospital. And it turns out that the man is a famous Broadway actor named Charles Coffman, who spent 26 years on Broadway. At 81 he still has a lovely voice.

Much to my astonishment, he said that when he got me to stop my bad habits that I would be a "Middle C, or lower soprano! This is far beyond anything that I had ever suspected. He further said that I would be singing solos in church, and could go much farther if I so chose!

Wow !!!!

The only bad question is the one not asked.
