Due to the number of inquiries I've been getting as of late...

A number of people have been asking about writing characters that have already been chosen. Sadly, I have to tell them that those particular ones are unavailable at this time, because other people have chosen them.

There are a number of authors/potential authors that have chosen characters and after a number of months, and in some cases over a year, have posted nothing.

I'm not here to rail on you for slacking or anything like that. I've chosen a few myself that have yet to yield fruit and there are some people that need more time to write a complete tale. There can be a number of different reasons which I don't need to know about. (real life, dead computer, broken fingers, etc. )

What I am asking for is, that if you think you won't be producing something, consider letting me know so I can make the character available again for someone else that wants to try.

So, here's what I'm doing:

If you've chosen a character and plan to write a story, please send me a PM to reaffirm your need for more time or whatever and the character that you've previously chosen. Or you can just say "so and so can go back in the bin for someone else."

If you've already written and posted a character then you need do nothing; it's already yours even if you don't plan to do anything else with him/her.

After a week or so, I'll repost this for those that might have missed it. If you haven't posted anything in the past and you do nothing (ie. posted a story or sent me a PM) then I'm releasing the characters for other authors (to be announced at a later date.)

I'm not doing this to be a jerk. I'm doing it because there are a number of people that want to do something with characters that are in literary limbo.
