Freeze

Skin will freeze on contact. I bet you are not wearing a skirt LOL

I second Jonelle's Yikes!

Wow, Dorothy. You'll have to ride a Tauntaun to work. If it gets colder, you can cut it open and survive inside it. It's pretty smelly, though.

Still pretty mild here in southern Ontario. Well, I think Toronto got good and clobbered with snow the other day. Missed us, though.

Dress warm, girl!

Fairbanks

It was that way in Fairbanks for about 4 months out of the year. Brrrrrr.

Was there any water on the ground?

If so, you'll have to let things slide for now. ;)

At minus forty, both scales read the same.

Temp's like that

Are low enough to freeze car transmissions and oil pans if they are not heated. I unfortunately had that happen to my car back when I was stationed at Ft Riley KS. I came out of the PX (Post Exchange) and was not able to start my car. Ended up walking about 2 miles to my home. I had to wait until after last formation the next day to go buy a couple of sterno cans from the PX to put under the car to unfreeze my car. With a stiff breeze blowing across the parking lot it was not very fun.
