Well, I'm going to have a chance to make a case for starting hormones sooner than I thought. I'll be seeing the gender specialist's assistant on Tuesday, and hopefully, I'll be able to persuade her to get me started right away.

Good luck. You do need them. I found that taking them helped me feel more like I was finally on my way, and they reduced the conflict of the depression that is called by some GID. I hope she will cooperate. There are many gender therapists that actually use hormones and T suppressors as a diagnostic tool, with considerable success.
