I had a dream a couple of days ago that, to me, shows how far my integration of my female side has become. The details of the dream are not important, but one thing stood out - I was female. Now, mostly before I couldnt see myself in my dreams - I couldnt have told you if i was male or female, or what I was wearing. So the fact that I knew i was female, in public, and nobody seemed to notice that being different says something to me.

There was a time, years ago,
There was a time, years ago, when I had dreams like this quite frequently. I think my favorite was about a big family reunion or something, and everyone I talked to, someone introduced me as "This is so-and-so's niece/granddaughter/daughter".
Dreams are a window to our souls. I've only tentatively started to have these kinds of dreams again, where I'm either fully aware of, or made bluntly aware of being female (Last night was actually one such dream :-)), and coincidentally (Or not ;-)) I've finally begun, over the course of the last couple of months, to accept myself and undo years of self-hatred.
