Used to feel like that too, now not as much. Wrote this the other day and it seems appropriate to respond in verse (or song actually). It is maybe about me convincing myself, but hey, whatever works.

In the twilight moments broken,
Spheres of light in mind’s eye spoken.
Within the shadows soul’s reflection,
Symbols dance in benediction,
Of life and love and friendship trust,
My heart cries out a primal thrust:

One: I am the true me,
Two: I shall not deny me,
Three: I choose to live with all that is me,
Four: Then I will be free.

Dance no more to custom’s tune,
To that within I grant the boon,
Living this life without regret,
I look within and me I met,
To know once more with hand on heart,
These steps I take and so I start:

One: I am the true me,
Two: I shall not deny me,
Three: I choose to live with all that is me,
Four: Then I will be free.
Five: I will not tarry,
Six: My soul to set free,
Seven: Within the darkness light within me,
Eight: I am the true me.

Steps so hard yet taken softly,
In my mind’s eye visions lofty,
Future’s yarn is yet untold,
But to my heart this path is sold,
Of life and love and friendship trust,
My heart cries out a primal thrust,
