Looks like I'm not going to be getting some of the things I wanted to do this weekend accomplished since I woke up with a head cold. I have to take care with these things because they can turn into bronchitis and pneumonia for me very quickly so it's off to the drugstore for stuff and then maybe back to bed.

Better nipped in the bud
Head colds are miserable, invariably mine turn into a sinus infection. But as long as you can keep it out of your chest, they're not too bad. I started to give all the details of what ensues when I get a chest infection, but decided nobody would care to read the graphic details. ;-)
Take care of yourself, and stock up on the chicken soup while you're at the store. And maybe some hot chocolate mix. Colds call for comfort foods. :-)

Here now you take a warm shower and we'll just tuck you into bed nice and comfy...
I'll toddle off and prepare some warm chicken soup while you just rest and feel better.
There's nothing so important that you must be doin' it now.

Cold Remedy
Chinese Hot and Sour Soup, works wonders with congestion of the head and the chest, and makes you feel oooooohhhh sooo good! Get a large size for several doses!!

Hang your hat on one of the posts, get in bed with a bottle of vodka and drink until you see two hats. The next morning the cold will be gone! :)

Trust me on this
Hi Erin. Try this. Instead of using halls or some other kind of lossange, try Jolly ranchers. Trust me. They work great and they don't irritate you like halls does after a while. I gave them to my grandma a while back when she had pneumonia and now she swears by them.

My remedy
Several large glasses of the single malt of your choice. Doesn't cure the cold but who cares? My old Dad always said that a treated cold lasts for a week and an untreated one for seven days. The advantage of my remedy is that you lose count ;)
What ever you do, just keep warm and don't worry about us. Just get well.
