My cold has mutated into bronchitis, combined with my chronic sinusitis and now I'm having asthma attacks. I've got medication for this so I'll be okay, just miserable and a little short-tempered for a bit--one of the asthma meds is a steroid.

I've spent most of my time since Saturday in bed while Mom's situation has moved only to stable. Still no prognosis for when she might get out of ICU.

Good thoughts (and tolerance of my shortness of breath and temper) appreciated.

Hugs,
Erin

Of all the times of the year

the holiday season has to be the worst time of all to be ill. Erin, you really NEED to take some time just for you, hon. I know that there are eleventy-billion things vying for your attention right NOW, but if you don't get yourself well, those things will only drag you further down.

I fully understand the shortness of breath thing too. My COPD does a nice job of not allowing one to breathe well, so you have my sympathies. I wish there were something substantive I could do to help you, but all I have to offer are my very best wishes for you and your Mom to both feel better very soon.

Just to let you know, the books you ordered for me arrived this AM. Thank you for all you've done to make this possible for me. I hope I've helped, in turn, to bring a few dollars into the coffers at Top Shelf, and maybe even a few into your own pocketbook.

Erin, you do SO much for all of us, and you deserve some time off, to recover, to recoup, and recharge. Top Shelf will stagger along just fine with Sephrena's more than able assistance, and Shannons as well. Please, Please, PLEASE, take a couple of days to rest and regain strength. You wont be doing yourself, your Mom, or us any favors if you run yourself into the ground.

Here's wishing you, your Mom, and all the Top Shelf denizens a very Merry Christmas/Happy Chanukah/(hope I spelled that right)or whatever holiday they celebrate at this time of year.

Thanks, hon

Today's the first day in a week where I've actually felt like I could do some work--so I unpacked the electric piano I bought myself for Christmas and noodled around with the chords and some walking melodies. Lots of fun. :)

Glad your books made it, you must be in the factory's back pocket :) they only emailed me yesterday to say they'd been shipped!

Hugs to all,
Erin

Just play the music, rest and ....

.... get well for Christmas. May it be a good one for you, and for your mother. You deserve it.

And, selfishly, may your recovery be complete in time to enjoy a splendid 2008.

Selfishly because we would all be quite lost without you and this site.

Hugs,

Fleurie

P.S. Seasonal Greetings and Warm Appreciation also to Sephrena and Shannon for all their efforts.

P.P.S. While I'm at it, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everyone else at, or passing through, this most marvellous of sites. May your pens never falter, and your patience never be exhausted.
