for days - i'm sure we are just hours from announcing a drought!
Joking aside, the bright weather looks set to hang around into next week, farmers have already cut the first hay, other crops aren't far behind, i'd prefer to see more wheat than all the oilseed rape but hey, farmers only have bio diversity at heart, a mono culture is so much easier to farm.
Monday i took a walk to the Swedish shop, my first such trip since February, where i was early enough to indulge in breakfast before a tour of the store looking at stuff i neither need nor can afford. Back at the house i started what turned into a bit of a marathon job due to very wobbly internet, of putting the new Gaby mini volume up on Kindle. Eventually, after several hours of false starts, it was done, waiting for hoops to be jumped through, amazingly it went live as i went to bed.
First job on Tuesday was the spread the word about Balancing Trick, part 1 then i got myself organised for a ride out to the coast. There was a vague plan, and even route, across to Weston SM then the shorter way back to Brizzle - i was undecided on my stop, given my favourite cafe has closed down. In the end i decided to push on to Clevedon where my regular stop supplied tea and a chicken burger and the GPS claimed 90km!
The return from the coast is basically straight and without anything that really counts as a hill, just a few little bumps, which means an easy ride back to the house. Its still over 30km so i had 123km when i ended the ride just over an hour later.
So here we are, Wednesday, another warm, bright day, chores to do and maybe i'll get some more writing done.
I'll be back at the weekend, another Bank Holiday!
