but still very 'seasonal'!

And talking of seasonal, we've not had Rememberance Day yet and Bristol Christmas Market is open! Not sure the City Council read the memo, lol.

Anyhow, the weather, whilst still quite mixed, has been a bit better this week. On Monday i needed to get a couple of bits in town, i dressed for the worst but in the end the day was mostly dry until the evening. I was quite tempted by the wurst stall at the aforementioned Weihnachtsmarkt but £6 for a sausage in a bun is a bit rich by any standards - i worked it out i could buy the stuff m'sen and produce 5 brats and have change from that same £6! I know prices have risen but that really is taking the Michael.

A windy but sunny with showers forecast encourafed me out on the bike Tuesday, I'm not quite in full winter gear yet but i've now added my winter footwear which at least keep most of the wet outside and add to visibility with copious reflective panels! I headed north, the wind on my back, i'd barely left the house when the first wet came through but by the time i reached the ring road the sun was threatening to make an appearance. Indeed for most of my ride up to my lunch stop near Stroud it was bright although the wind kept the temperature down.

After eating i set off for the loop back, up to Nailsworth and on to skirt Tetbury, a brief squall wetting me on the way. The wet returned for a longer visit as i used the lanes towards Badminton but the final run in was dry as i tacked through the 20mph plus wind on the open Cotswold plain. 115km and just shy of a thousand metres of up, a hard day out but after missing the weekend ride i was glad to be out again.

Today is similar but with less wind, any showers taking a bit longer to pass as a result. Its a day of chores, laundry, some stuff for my Dad, posting here, next up i'll head out to the Post Office and visit the Swedish shop for a late lunch. And talking of Dad, its his birthday today, he's 92 which pushes up the bar for me, thats more than half my lifetime away!

Of course, being Wednesday, i've posted the next part of The Anime Days, chapter 29, Sunday, Sunday see's our hero having a quieter day - or is it!
