yep, surprised me too!
I was going through the stuff i have available via Lulu and found a title that i had forgotten about entirely! Its not a story but rather its what was planned as the first instalment of a series of shortish fully illustrated Gaby travelogues. I thought it deserved a wider audience and so from today you can get Hadrians Wall - A Trip With Gaby for Kindle (it took just 2 hours from submission to going live!) If you prefer print i've got that in the works with Amazon too but of course the original Lulu version is still available in full glorious technicolour!
As you might have guessed by the title, this revolves around a trip that 'we' did several years ago;
'Gaby acts as tour guide as she takes you on a pictorial trip across Hadrians Wall in the north of England. Join the heroine of the Gaby stories as she joins the author on a trip along the full 73 mile length of the iconic Roman monument from Bowness on Solway on the Cumbrian coast to the mouth of the Tyne at Wallsend spread across four mostly sunny days.
All the main sites and a few lesser known are visited along the way as the pair cycle across the roof of England. Includes visits to Tynemouth Castle and Segedunum Roman fort as well as Carlisle Castle.
In full colour, this is a must for all hardcore Gaby fans or anyone fed up with wordy guides this volume is packed with evocative images from the journey. '
Is this sort of picture heavy travelogue of interest to people, ie, is it worth me putting together some of the other proposed titles featuring trips in various European locales?
Moine, moine,
