is everything!
For example, last Wednesday i was riding down to Minehead, it was windy but otherwise not unpleasant, today its not windy but its due to rain all day - like i said, timing.
I'm back into writing mode this week, you may have picked up that i was writing on Monday, chapter 17 of the new book, i'll be returning to the job in hand later today, all being well i'll have another chapter completed by the end of the day.
Of course, yesterday was bike day and with a fair forecast and not having been for a few weeks, i decided to do a chip run to Weston sM. When i say fair, the wind was much less than of late and despite or perhaps because it was still quite cloudy, it was also pushing double figures temperature wise. So it was out along the now familiar roads, its still possible to add a bit of variety so its not quite as boring as it could be, i took 60km to reach the regions premier resort. Food was actually pasty and chips which i enjoyed sat with a mug of tea before setting off for the return trip.
The return was quite 'exciting', from jay walkers to unnecesarily agressive and impatient drivers - for the record, both women, i made my way back into Cabotville almost matching the outward distance to finish on 117km for the day. Its amazing how much difference the day can make, my average was 22kph which, considering i wasn't making any extra effort, was over 2kph quicker than my rides last week. (Of course the actual speed i was riding at was mostly 25-28kph, the average includes all the slow speed stuff in town, at junctions etc which makes a huge impact on the averages).
The eagle eyed amongst you will have picked up on the error i made in posting Fame chapters, caused by inadvertently posting chapter 2 with chapter 1 back in January. To avoid any further confusion i have now re-numbered all those chapters to the correct sequence, the first post is now marked as Chapter 1+2.
So that about wraps things up for today, more news, as it happens and of course a new chapter posting on Sunday, from this this damp and grey location then,
Tack
