well not quite
the skies may be blue, the sun shining brightly but there's a distinct chill over night!
Thursday I headed down to WSM for chips by the seaside, a pretty straightforward ride of just over 110km without too much climbing, the sun was warm, the winds light, it was quite pleasant sat with my fried potato picnic at the beach.
Friday it was off for some shopping, to wit, the new duvet cover. Job done. After a couple of blonde weeks it was time to try out a new shade of red, neon it claimed which has turned out a bit on the orange end of the red spectrum, think i'll go back to poppy! It is slightly easier to live with than the blue which was quite in your face, well my hair!
Saturday - well I thought that as the weather was holding i'd get a longer ride in which ended up a loop of the Vale of Pewsey, a tad over 100miles and over 1100m of climbing. The big issue of the day was getting back before dark - oh I have lights but who wants to ride in the dark? I made it with perhaps 15 minutes to spare, certainly it was dark by the time i'd drunk a cup of tea back at Bev's. It was a nice day otherwise, sunny, hardly any wind and just about warm enough to be in shorts and short sleeves but those days are getting fewer as temperatures veer towards single figures.
Todays posting is chapter 25 of Gaby - Ontario, Sneaky confirms what we've all known for a long time, Gaby is 100% girl!
That's all for now, I need to check the washing, pop to the shops then I'm cooking Bev a roast lamb dinner, might even make a crumble for dessert!
So for now that's it, back on Wednesday,

I hope you had the mint sauce too.
I hear the food mixer downstairs - SWMBO beating a pudding, it will make up some calories towards my own ride earlier. Sunshine! We have had 4 days of it, and happy to say I've been away from work for three and a half of them. Only one ride, but still enjoyed the not-quite-summer.

"Reach for the sun."
there was
mint sauce but i cooked the lamb with homegrown Rosemary so it didn't really need the mint!
After yesterdays century ride today was a day of rest and eating - the crumble went down well as did the Rioja that washed everything away! I even dressed up for dinner, well good food deserves to be honoured right?
Next month its roast beef and different hair & dress!
