Well, I had a rather down day today. It started with a bad dream that left me feeling like I was a pretty horrible person, and I just never really got out of the rut.
Ah, well, tomorrow is another day ...

I know exactly how that feels. Misery loves company though, so maybe we'll both feel better soon.

Don't take me too seriously. I'm just kitten around. :3
"Pay No Attention To The Voices In Your Head"
We mostly don't remember our dreams for pretty much the same reasons that doctors use anesthesia for surgery, and car mechanics don't let us into the repair bays. We are not supposed to watch, and to keep it from hurting. Dreams also are a "maintenance" function, just like what goes on in our bowels. Do we want to watch that ... ?
Dreams are mostly "for" sorting and classifying today's and recent events. The 'bad' dream that you unfortunately remembered, was maybe dealing with the same stuff, metaphorically, that our bowels do.
One technique for "bad" dreams, for nightmares, is to "(re)orient" to reality. Look at the real bedroom furniture, not the 'hell-scape' from the dream, look at what is good, and true, and worthy in you. Your countless that stories that I've enjoyed are not even the 'tip of your iceberg'.... And especially, do not listen to the bad dream voices. They are even less real than a "bubble in a swamp"... Get some music going, an audio book, cook something nice, go for (sigh, these days a safe) walk, have some tea ....
Sometimes, recurring dreams have a theme we need pay attention to. But do that when we are awake, not when we are still all muzzy from sleep, and still bummed out by the dream.
Take care! "Doc" Alan says "Take a zillion hugs, and call us in the morning".

Night Scents
It has been proven that if you wear a pretty scent to bed, you will have much more favorable dreams.
