Yesterday Last week was Erin’s birthday.

She has often said that what she would really love to receive is financial stability for Big Closet.

There is a way you can help!

Almost everyone on this site lives hand-to-mouth. It was stated in a story on ABC News in May of 2019 that 40% of Americans have less than $400 in an emergency fund for unexpected expenses. That was pre-Covid. Clearly that number would be much worse today.

Abut twenty years ago, I was creating a non-profit to generate donations for my local school district. That fund has facilitated donations totaling over $8 million. While out getting seed money, I called on the mayor of our suburban town. We met in his lakeshore home that had to have a $3 to 4,000,000 price tag. He declined to contribute. He said that he was donating quite a lot of money to an inter-city school and thought that was a more worthy cause.

The point is – even if you’re not up against it, you might not think BC is a priority place for your donations.

BC has three revenue sources:

1.) Donations (Including those donations for Premium Stories)
2.) Advertising
3.) Doppler Press book sales

The costs to run this site are enormous. I’ve run a similar site -- and quickly spent over $1M in under four years.

The revenue from Doppler Press has the potential to be MUCH larger than what it is today.

Reviews generate sales. The more positive reviews a book gets the more often Amazon offers it as an alternative to a potential customer.

On the banner above is a link for ebooks.

It doesn’t cost anything to leave a review for all the Doppler books and could easily be the stimulus needed to generate revenue for BC.

Please click on ebooks and write a review for every book that you’ve read.

Note – it often lists non-doppler books.

Thank you.

Thought one had to be a Patron to do that

Hugs Jill, I've donated a few cents for every book I have read and went onto be published, including your Texas Two Step. Stations Late Night Princess, The last of the Fey, along with others. You authors may not be getting the rewards for your excellent talent, BCTS is. I'll swing by, take a look as you suggested.
Hugs hon, I pray you are doing okay. You have my email, use it.

How important are comments on Kindle?

Comments count just as much as sales in how prominent a listing Amazon gives a book. They are very important.

Erin

= Give everyone the benefit of the doubt because certainty is a fragile thing that can be shattered by one overlooked fact.

Good to know!

I have started adding comments and reviews. Unfortunately, not using my Shauna account, since I have not bought $50.00 worth of goods as Shauna. Just know that I am there... ;)

HUGS!

Thank You

There have been a number of additional reviews. Thanks.

You can edit your name on the review.

True, but...

That changes the name on ALL of your reviews. I keep what I do as Shauna separate from what I do on my 'real' me site... ;)

Reviews are harder to come by than comments. My last few books have barely gotten a trickle of reviews. It makes it difficult to gauge what readers think about the book.
