Hello out there,
I hope all you readers and writer's week is going well.
To get right into it I joined in on this month's Camp NaNoWriMo. I set a goal of 10k words for the month. My main problem has been that I haven't really been writing like I used to.
Back when I was writing like every day. I was sending everything to a Trans Fiction website like BigCloset and using the feedback I was getting from them to help the story along. I found out that this sort of behavior is not something that publishers really appreciate so I stopped doing it.
That interaction is something I really miss. If you see the front page here when new stuff comes out your story drops lower and lower till it's gone. This and the feedback were an incentive for me to keep writing.
I don't have that now so I needed to find a new way to motivate myself to write.
I'm in a writer's discord server and they have this bot called "Writer-Bot" that does these things called a "sprint". You tell it how long you want to sprint for, tell it which project you want to sprint with, and add your current word count. When you're done with the specified writing time you post your new word count. It spits out your words per minute and tells you how many new words you added to your project. The best part is that you can sprint with other people. They work on their project and you work on yours.
I started doing this on day one of the challenge and have been doing really well so far. I'm 9 days in and at 7,332 words of 10,000.
It's been such a good experience that I wanted to talk to you all about it. So if you're having trouble writing and are in a writing discord server. Maybe take a look at "Writer-Bot".
I hope this helps with your writing like it has mine. I have yet to start back up on Rairy Contrary but with how this bot is encouraging me to write expect to write more for that soon too!
Lots of love,
Katherine

Have fun writing
Fiction writing is something I haven't really played around with since high school. I may try it again some day but I suspect I am more likely to learn how draw (non-technical stuff) first.
There are so many awesome things I wanted to try out and learn how to do well in life that it's hard to do all of them.
