I'm terribly sorry to everyone, but I will not be posting Chapter 19 of Cassandra tomorrow (Monday). This does NOT mean the story will be abandoned. I'm planning to have it ready by Friday
After a few weeks of struggling with the final three chapters of Cassandra I haven't been happy with how it is going. As a result I have had to back off and do some major rewriting. I could try to rush things but, to be honest, that would be sloppy and unprofessional. I had a similar dilemma writing 'The Frozen Balance'. I tried to rush one chapter... I had to pull it and apologise. So I swore 'never again'.
It may well end up that I have to add at least an extra chapter above the already planned twenty one. Hopefully no-one will complain too much at that, and before anyone jumps in to say they hope I add lots more, could I just take you through the maths (yes, I'm writing as a Brit in my blog)?
- The average chapter/episode length of Cassandra is around 6,000 - 6,500 words.
- I write at an average of 500 words an hour.
- For every hour spent writing, another hour is taken up with planning, research and proofing.
- In other words 26 hours per chapter that you all will read in under 30 minutes.
:)
Kind regards

The effort is truly appreciated!
There is definitely a lot more work in creating than enjoying the efforts, but trust me, I may read it in 30 minutes, but I'll enjoy it for hours, re-running it over in my head and thinking about where it may go or how things wound up. Also, once it's done, I usually go back and re-read the entire series for the full effect, so there's additional hours of enjoyment!
Plus, if you think about it, if each person enjoys it for even 30 minutes, and it takes 26 hours to write, then at 52 people reading it, the hours enjoyed break even to the hours of creation. And you KNOW it's going to be enjoyed by far more than 52 people...
However, even with all the reader math involved, I can truly only speak for myself when I say I enjoy your efforts, and am really looking forward to more, and appreciate your sharing your gift and ability with us.
Mondayitis
That’s it. It’s official. I now have a major dose of Mondayitis.
My Monday is normally redeemed by an episode of Cassandra. This week however Monday is the pits brightened only by the possibility of an extra chapter.
Will now desperately try and make it through the rest of the week suffering withdrawals :)
Looking forward to it whenever you feel it is ready
You're Much Better Than I Am.
For me to write, a certain "state of mind" is required, and lately that seems increasingly absent. I've run out of steam on the next chapter of something I'm working on. This third chapter represents a big change in direction. The change may be too abrupt? That will have to be worked out.
I believe that you've been doing marvelously. One chapter was painfully tearful, but life is that way at times.
Do take your time. We'll be waiting.
Gwen
You take as ...
... much time as you need Jenny.
This story really deserves a great ending and the standard of writing that you have upheld throughout the whole story indicate that you as a brilliant writer will demand nothing but the best of yourself.
We will all wait patiently. And enjoy it more for the fact that it will be your best work.
THANK YOU!!!! As always for writing this amazing story.

Please!
Thank you for updating your progress, as I look for another chapter every day. Please continue as you feel good about where you desire to go with this marvelous story. Just do not abandon it.
An extra chapter.
I will quite happily put in the "30 minutes or less" to read an extra chapter. I eagerly look forward to it.
Cassandra is awesome. So is the author.
Only two days left...
Only two days left...
Oh, who am I kidding!!!
There's a whole two days to go. Ack! Doing my best to hang in here and relax. I can wait until the next chapter is posted.
Ommmm.........
An extra chapter

I don't have to offer you advice, and I would not be so impertinant as to do so.
