On a related note, our microwave allows one to set the time at 0:90 or 1:30, and you'll cook the same time. You can set it for 1:90 as well: it will count down the 90 seconds, then roll 1:00 over to 0:59.
Then there's that old joke racing for 1.5 minutes vs. "only" 90 seconds.
