last night, I dreamed I could fly.

Well, I say, "fly" but what in the dream I was walking, rather uncertainty, a couple of inches above the ground.

That wasnt the strange part of the dream.

The strange part was I went on a date with a woman and as part of the date we rode a bus together. I apologized for the non-romantic transportation, saying that I sucked at dating because I was in my 50's, and broke.

The woman seemed happy enough anyway, so there is that.

Flying...

I used to frequently dream I was flying as a kid, I found out from my parents years later I used to sleep walk and they used to find me all over the house!

Flying

The "Experts" say that flying is a desire to escape.

I do that and Lucid Dreaming. It seems harmless enough. Just wakened, having returned from one.

Testing

"The `Experts' say that flying is a desire to escape."

I really wish that dream interpretation such as this could be tested. How would one determine that such a dream reflects such a desire? The "Experts" are more reliable who tell us that dreams of being naked or skimpily clothed in school, or being back in school and having completely blown off a class, are common. They are in a position to know.

My dreams have tended to be nightmares, sometimes to the point of dreading going to bed. I have fairly recently discovered that taking the evening dose of anti-anxiety med just before bed makes my dreams much less horrifying.
