I've had several notices from the Hospital that I should attend there to see the Endo department. It seemed clear to me that they were going to do an Endoscopy, which end, I have no idea. Their persistence led me to imagine that there was something emergent going on in my bowels, and that caused me to be nervous enough to not sleep well last night.

I felt sure that they were going to fill me with hallucinogens and I would not be allowed to drive home, I I took the Tram up there and walked about a half mile. So, I got to the Hospital very early to check in and the clerk said I was just going to meet the Doctor today. It seemed clear that this was something very serious. Were they going to resection how much of my bowel? OH Dear !

They sent me off to another floor and in due course I was seeing the Doctor. The Doctors who do Endoscopies are quite strange, in my opinion. There was a knock at the door, and in walked a man who appeared young enough to be my grandson. Still being none the wiser, he asked me how I was feeling. "OK I guess." I replied.

He proceeded to tell me that my Estrogen was zilch and he was curious about that? "Perhaps I should increase your dose?"

It then dawned on my that I was seeing an Endocrinologist, not a Gastroenterologist! Oh goodness, what a difference !!!

My day is much better now. :)

About two weeks ago I told my sister I had an endo appointment on a Friday. She got concerned because my brother-in-law had one scheduled the same day. She asked who was going to drive me since she couldn't. I told her I'd be driving myself, why wouldn't I. She told me you can't drive home after an endoscopy. Not a problem since I was going to the Endocrinologist :)
